Lots of our customers come to us for the same reason. They don't like the look of traditional silver and gold wedding bands, and we don't blame them. Traditional bands are often boring, overpriced, and mass-produced. For those that want a wedding band with a bit more....charisma, you can't go wrong with one of our Hammered wedding rings.
The unusual textures of a raw hammered wedding band... on the other hand, absolutely oozes charisma. Every wedding band is an individual too, so you know that you are not going to find another person with the same wedding band as you... it's impossible.
Hammered wedding rings are so popular because they are still very traditional in aesthetics. Compared to our more colorful rings like the Timascus or Turquoise, our hammered rings are a bit more subtle, with a tone that naturally matches most skin tones. Even though our hammered rings and wedding bands still remain in line with that traditional feel, they are still one of a kind.
Our hammered wedding rings and bands all start life as a precious metal bar. We then mill down the bar to the desired size, width, and profile. After the wedding band has been created in the right shape, we then use a customized hammer to create the texture on the outer surface. Short blows of the hammer help build up the textured layering, and harder blows create a more lasting impression. Finally, we hand polish the inside of the wedding band, creating a mirror-smooth finish.
The hammering technique is something that has to be learned over several years to perfect. As it is rarely seen in traditional wedding jewelry pieces, it is an art form that is not well known.
In our workshop, we have over two hundred different hammers, and each one has it's own purpose and style. Ranging from wooden mallets used for doming, all the way to tiny hammers with broad faces, designed for sketching with a chasing tool. Chasing is similar to engraving, except you dont lose any material.
Finally, we have the round ballpoint hammers, and these allow us to create an effect called peening, which is a cold-work process used to improve the texture and material properties of the wedding band.
Our hammered wedding rings will be created to your exact specifications. You have the choice of two different profiles, curvy or flat. If you like a wide rounded profile, then you should pick curvy.
If you prefer a narrow flat outer surface, you should opt for the flat profile.
Both wedding band styles come with an expertly polished inside band, machined exactly to your fit.
Another option we offer is a mixed material hammered wedding band. For these, we can add a wooden inlay to your wring, giving it even more individuality.
We are experts in economically sourced wood sourcing as well as environmentally friendly woodworking. This combination means we are experts in everything wood. You only need to look at our wooden wedding band collection or our whiskey barrel rings to know that.
If you decide to go with a wooden inlay ring, you will have the option of several different types of wood. Choose from aged whiskey barrel, ironwood, koa wood, wenge wood, snakewood, Sapele, or Zebrawood.
Once you have chosen your wood, we take strips of it and lay it inside a bulletproof tungsten carbide wedding ring. Seal it with a resin to keep the wood protected from water and polish it to give it that perfect shine.
We are a company focused on the future, which includes the future of our planet. With this vision, we aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible. All of our wedding rings are created with as many reclaimed and recycled materials as possible. By using reclaimed materials, we know that our rings are kind to the planet.
Luckily for us, we are rewarded by our efforts because there is something about a reclaimed wedding band that cannot be replicated artificially. Natural materials have an elegance that cannot be matched.
All of our wedding rings will be created to your ring size, and we use a comfort fit system. As our rings are custom made, we highly recommend getting your ring finger measured accurately beforehand to ensure you get the right size. If your ring is the wrong size, we will do our best to make it right, but you will have to pay for the shipping charges to make the exchange.
Our business has always been centered on the customer... that's you!
When we started, we set to bring all of the benefits of a small local company and offer that service world-wide.
A hammered wedding ring is an integral part of your big day and future plans. We love the joy that our products bring, the happiness, the smiles, the tears of joy, and it's why we love interacting with our customers, and it is why we treat every customer as the top priority. We are not afraid to go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our customers get the perfect ring for their perfect day.
