The History

One of the things America is well known for throughout the world is its alcohol distilleries. With several giants of the whiskey world, like Jack Daniels and Makers Mark, all originating here, it is one of our favorite pastimes.

The process of distilling a great whiskey has passed down for generations, and while the techniques remain the same, we have learned a lot about the process since then.

For every custom wedding band, there will be a story to tell, from the vintage of alcohol to the charring of the wood, to the humidity conditions, every wedding band is unique. Every ring from our shop is different.

One of the most crucial things we have learned is the importance of the barrel. The quality of the oak barrel and the quality of the alcohol being distilled. When the two are aligned, that is when the magic happens.

Aging the alcohol is one of the most essential steps to any distillation, and to do this, the right barrel size, shape, and humidity must be correctly chosen before the charring process begins.

Charring Process

The color of the finished product relies on the charring process, which is where the alcohol is stored in a charred barrel. Oak barrels are by far the best choice for this and, after a little charring, produce by far the best flavor and color.

Age Process

Lots of things get better with age, cheese, wine, and a good woman. Whiskey is another one. The longer you leave the alcohol to age in the charred oak, the richer and more complete the flavor.

Humidity Control

As important as the aging and charring process, is humidity control. When aging a fine vintage, the conditions inside the sealed environment and the quality of the whiskey barrel wood is extremely important to get right. The key is to leave the barrel in a warm environment with very low humidity, and this brings out all of the character and flavor inside the alcohol inside.

All of our rings are expertly crafted and protected by a sophisticated blend of resin, which we use to seal the wood, protecting it from external factors.

The techniques that we use are very similar to those used by the Swedish hot tub industry to seal their luxury real-wood tubs. By using similar sealing techniques, we can guarantee that our rings come with longevity and protection from external factors that could harm your ring.

Our popular Dionysus collection, for example, comes with two unique strips of our recycled aged ex-distillery wood and in-lay them into a bulletproof tungsten carbide ring with rose gold or silver electroplating. The finished result is simply breathtaking.

Ring Sizing

All of our rings are based on a comfort fit sizing. All of this means that the sizes are the most comfortable fit overall. If you prefer your rings a little bit tighter or looser, you will have to consider that when deciding what size to order.

We recommend you go to a reputable place to get your ring finger measured. This will help massively when it comes to correctly craft your ring for you.

If your ring is the wrong size, don't worry, we are more then happy to make it right for you, you will, however, have to pay for the shipping costs for the exchange. This is why we recommend getting your ring finger measured beforehand.
